I’ve stayed at Four Seasons Orlando twice this year—once by myself and once with my six-year-old daughter. Those are two completely different types of trips, yet the resort worked perfectly for both.
When people ask me where they should stay for a luxury Disney vacation, my answer is always the same: Four Seasons Orlando.
Why I Recommend Four Seasons Orlando Over Every Other Luxury Disney Resort
As a travel advisor who specializes in Disney destinations, I pride myself on the fact that I have stayed at every on-property Walt Disney World. Disney-owned resorts absolutely have their place, but Four Seasons is playing a different game altogether. What sets it apart isn’t the location or the amenities—although both are excellent. It’s the level of personalization.
The easiest way to describe the experience is that it feels small, even though it isn’t. At most resorts, you’re one of thousands of guests.
At Four Seasons, employees remember you. Not in a scripted hospitality way, either. During both of my stays, team members learned my name almost immediately and continued greeting me throughout my stay. One interaction that stands out involved my daughter’s stroller. Instead of trying to make room for it in the guest room, Bell Services stored it for us whenever we didn’t need it. It sounds minor, but when you’re traveling with a child, little conveniences like that matter.
The same applies to questions and requests. I never got the impression that employees were trying to move on to the next guest. If someone didn’t know an answer, they found it. If I needed help coordinating something, someone took ownership of it. That level of service is difficult to find anywhere, but especially within Walt Disney World. Disney resorts are fantastic at delivering Disney magic, but they’re also enormous operations.
Four Seasons has the advantage of feeling much more personal. It’s also one of the reasons I frequently recommend it to my clients. If I need to coordinate room requests, arrange dining for a large family, organize in-room gifts, or help celebrate a special occasion, I can work directly with the hotel. The process is straightforward and refreshingly human.
The Rooms: What to Expect at Four Seasons Orlando
Both of my stays were in king-bed rooms, and the first thing I noticed was the amount of space. One room included a king bed with a pullout sofa, while the other was a standard king room. Neither felt standard.
The rooms are noticeably larger than many accommodations in the Disney realm, and they’re designed in a way that makes them feel even bigger. Whether I was unpacking for a solo stay or sharing the space with my daughter, there was room for everything.
The luxury touches are everywhere, but nothing feels overdone. It’s comfortable rather than flashy. My daughter received a bunny stuffed animal waiting in our room when we arrived. She also found a children’s Four Seasons robe hanging in the closet. It was so soft that she wore it to bed every night of our stay instead of her pajamas. That’s the type of detail Four Seasons gets right. They understand that creating memories doesn’t always require grand gestures.
The Pool Complex: The Best on Walt Disney World Property
The pool complex is another reason the resort stands out. My daughter and I spent time in every pool area during our visit. The lazy river is one of the best on Disney property, and the family areas provide enough activities that kids can stay entertained for hours without ever setting foot in a theme park.
At the same time, adults aren’t treated as an afterthought. One of the most overlooked features of the Four Seasons Orlando is that it has the only true adults-only pool area on Walt Disney World property. Not a section of a pool. Not a few reserved chairs. An actual adults-only space. As someone who has visited both alone and with a child, I appreciate how rare that is.
When I traveled solo, the adults-only pool felt like a resort vacation. When I traveled with my daughter, it was nice knowing that option existed if I wanted some quiet time while she participated in supervised activities.
Dining at Four Seasons Orlando: Capa, Ravello & the Character Breakfast
The food is another area where Four Seasons consistently delivers. I had dinner at Capa with my sister during one stay, and it easily ranks among my favorite meals at Walt Disney World. The service was polished without feeling formal, and the atmosphere made the evening feel special without trying too hard. During my trip with my daughter, we visited Ravello for dinner and returned for breakfast. If you’re traveling with children, I would highly recommend the character breakfast. It manages to be fun for kids without sacrificing food quality, which is not always the case with character dining experiences.
Getting to the Parks: Minnie Vans & Park Access from Four Seasons
One thing many travelers don’t realize is how easy it is to access the parks from the four Seasons. We used Minnie Vans throughout our stay, and the service was seamless. Even though Four Seasons isn’t Disney-owned, Minnie Vans pick up and drop off directly at the resort. We visited all four Walt Disney World parks, but the parks weren’t the entire point of the trip. That’s probably the biggest difference between a Four Seasons vacation and a traditional Disney vacation. Most Disney trips revolve entirely around the parks. Guests wake up early, stay until closing, and repeat the process every day. At Four Seasons, I find myself wanting to spend time at the resort.
Spa, Solo Travel & Slowing Down at Four Seasons Orlando
During my solo visit, that meant booking spa treatments, relaxing by the pool, and slowing down. My massage and facial were excellent, and having access to the spa facilities beforehand made the experience feel even more relaxing. With my daughter, it meant balancing park days with resort days.
How I Plan Luxury Disney Vacations Around Four Seasons Orlando
As a travel advisor, that’s actually how I prefer to plan luxury Disney vacations. I don’t think the goal should be to spend every minute in a theme park. The goal should be to have a great vacation that happens to include theWalt Disney theme parks. For many of my travelers, that means enjoying the resort, scheduling a few carefully planned park days (and adding Disney Private VIP Tours when it makes sense). The result is a completely different experience. You still get the magic of Disney. You still experience the attractions, entertainment, and memories people travel across the world to see. But you also get space to relax, recharge, and enjoy the vacation itself.

Four Seasons Orlando remains my favorite place to stay at Walt Disney World. Not because it’s the most expensive. Not because it’s the most exclusive.
