I live with my husband and daughter in Northeast Ohio. I am an Independent Contractor with the travel agency, Small World BIG FUN, a small woman-owned boutique agency. We are classified by Disney as a “Platinum Earmarked Agency”, which is one of the highest regarded agency statuses that can be earned with the Walt Disney Travel Company.
I take a lot of pride in being high touch, hands-on, and being incredibly up to date on the current offerings, processes, and available experiences for all the destinations I book. I have personally visited Disney Destinations—including Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney Cruise Line—more than 150 times. Realistically, I’m in a Disney Destination every 4-6 weeks. The price of your vacation package itself does not change whether you book directly with Disney or through me. What changes is everything around it. I know which promotions are coming before they go public, I watch your booking for price drops and apply them automatically, and I make sure you never miss a discount you qualified for. My clients regularly save money they would have left on the table simply by not knowing what to look for. So while I do not discount Disney prices, I absolutely help you get the most out of every dollar you spend.
During our Discovery Call, we’re going to talk about my services and what is included when you hire me to plan your vacation. My planning fee does vary depending on the number of guests, vacation destination, and how close we are to travel.
I might be a little biased here! But what I can tell you is what to look for in a great Disney planner. You want someone who visits Disney destinations regularly, not just once a year. Someone who holds a strong agency status with Disney, like the Platinum Earmarked designation my agency, Small World BIG FUN, has earned. And most importantly, someone who takes the time to actually get to know your family before planning a single thing. That is exactly how I work with every single client.
I do not, and I want to be upfront about that. I specialize in Disney experiences because that is where the real magic lives. On-property guests get early park entry, access to Disney transportation, the full immersive experience, and so much more that simply is not available when you stay off-site. I believe so strongly in the on-property experience that I only plan trips where I can give you the absolute best of what Disney has to offer.
The 321 rule is a handy packing guideline that Disney veterans swear by. It stands for 3 pairs of shoes, 2 weeks’ worth of snacks, and 1 poncho per person. The idea is to pack smart, stay comfortable, and always be prepared for Florida rain. It sounds simple, but trust me, the families who follow it have a noticeably smoother trip than the ones who show up unprepared for a 2 pm downpour.
The 60 10 rule is a touring strategy that helps families pace themselves through a Disney day. The idea is to walk for about 60 minutes, then take a 10-minute break, whether that is grabbing a snack, sitting in the shade, or just slowing down for a moment. Disney days are long, and the parks are big. Families who pace themselves like this almost always have more energy for the evening shows and fireworks, which are honestly some of the most magical moments of the whole trip.
You call me, and I handle it. That is truly the short answer. Disney’s policies around changes and cancellations can be complicated, and navigating them alone when you’re already stressed is no fun. I stay with you through every twist and turn, advocate on your behalf, and work as quickly as possible to find the best solution for your family. That kind of support does not go away after I book your trip. I am with you until you are safely back home.
The 120 rule is all about Advanced Dining Reservations. Pre-COVID, dining and extras reservations were booked 120 days before check-in. Now, Disney allows guests to book dining 60 days before their trip, but on-property resort guests get a 10-day booking window added on top of that, giving them up to 70 days out. The “120” rule pays homage to that old timeline, but the concept is still important! The early bird gets the worm. We need to get things booked as soon as the windows open. When you work with me, I handle all of this for you so you never have to set an alarm at 6 am to grab a Be Our Guest reservation yourself.
