Magic Class is the oldest of the fleet. These ships offer a classic Disney experience with a smaller and more intimate atmosphere with about 2,000 guests + 900 crew members.

Disney Magic

Classic Disney experience with an intimate atmosphere. She features rotating main dining rooms, including Lumiere’s, Rapunzel’s Royal Table, and Animator’s Palate, with Broadway shows including Tangled: the Musical, Twice Charmed: An Original Twist on the Cinderella Story, and Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic. The ship that started it all and is still one of the most beloved in the fleet.

Disney Wonder

Timeless elegance with beloved character encounters. The Disney Wonder features Triton’s, Animator’s Palate, and Tiana’s Place as Main Dining Room offerings. Guests will find Frozen: A Musical Spectacular, The Golden Mickeys, and Disney Dreams: An Enchanted Classic in the Walt Disney Theater.

The Dream class ships are a great hybrid between the intimacy of the Magic Class and the large amenities/spaces of the Wish Class with about 4,000 guests and 1,555 crew members.

Disney Dream

Perfect hybrid of intimacy and grand amenities. Home to AquaDuck, the world’s first water coaster at sea, with main dining at Enchanted Garden, Animator’s Palate, and Royal Palace. Broadway shows include Beauty and the Beast, The Golden Mickeys, and Disney’s Believe. A ship that delivers the full Disney magic from the moment you step on board.

Disney Fantasy

This is Rachel’s favorite ship! Guests enjoy rotational dining through the Enchanted Garden, Animator’s Palate, and Royal Palace. Broadway shows feature Frozen: A Musical Spectacular, Disney’s Aladdin, and Disney’s Believe.

The newest and largest class, these ships feature unique dining and entertainment experiences, including the first-ever Disney attraction at sea with about 4,000 guests and 1,500 crew members.

Alaska

Sailing through Glacier Bay on a Disney ship is one of the most surreal and breathtaking experiences I have ever had. Alaska itineraries run in the summer months and combine jaw-dropping natural scenery with the warmth of Disney storytelling. Wildlife, glaciers, and Mickey waving from the deck. Truly unforgettable.

Bahamas

The Bahamas is where most Disney cruisers begin their journey. Shorter sailings from Port Canaveral (about 45 minutes from Orlando) and Fort Lauderdale make this an easy standalone vacation or an ideal add-on to a parks visit. The crown jewel of every Bahamas sailing is a day at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island with pristine beaches, waterslides, a 5K race option, and a lunch buffet that people genuinely rave about. Guests also get to visit Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Disney’s new port of call in the Bahamas. You’ve never seen water this blue!

Caribbean

Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries offer some of the most beautiful port destinations in the world. Now it’s my time to get to work matching your feedback to the right premium experience, destination, and vacation package for you! I use my expertise – not only as your travel professional, but a mom, a runDisney athlete, and a daughter who has been the point person for dozens of multigenerational vacations – to build and present your customized vacation package options. As part of our Discovery Meeting, I will give you a time frame in which to expect your proposal. Once delivered, please be prepared to pay your deposit within 1-3 days.

How much does a Disney cruise cost per person?

Disney cruises are a premium experience, and the price reflects that. Most people spend somewhere between $2,000 and $4,000 per person for a short 3 to 4-night Bahamas cruise. If you’re dreaming of a longer voyage or a more exotic destination, budget closer to $5,000 or more per person. The good news? Working with a travel specialist like Rachel means we’re choosing the most optimal itinerary and accommodations to maximize your experience!

What is ducking on a cruise?

Ducking is one of the most adorable traditions on Disney Cruise Line. Guests hide small rubber ducks around the ship for other passengers to discover. Kids absolutely love it. Many families even bring custom ducks and little trading cards to swap with people they meet on board. It’s one of those little surprises that make a Disney cruise feel unlike anything else at sea.

What not to bring on a Disney cruise?

Good question, and worth knowing before you start packing! Disney Cruise Line does not allow irons or steamers, candles, incense, or personal coolers bigger than a small carry-on. You can bring one bottle of wine or champagne per adult at embarkation, but anything beyond that is a no-go. Some food items may also be restricted depending on which ports you’re visiting. What does "wife on board" mean on a cruise ship?

It’s a fun little piece of cruise culture! “WOB” stands for Wife on Board, and it’s a lighthearted signal some passengers use, usually a flag or a sign, to humorously let others know their spouse is along for the trip. It’s just an inside joke among cruising regulars. On a Disney ship, though, you’ll be too busy with character meet and greets and finding hidden Mickeys to worry about nautical slang!

What is the one word you can't say on a cruise ship?

The 60 10 rule is a touring strategy that helps families pace themselves through a Disney day. The idea is to walk for about 60 minutes, then take a 10-minute break, whether that is grabbing a snack, sitting in the shade, or just slowing down for a moment. Disney days are long, and the parks are big. Families who pace themselves like this almost always have more energy for the evening shows and fireworks, which are honestly some of the most magical moments of the whole trip.

What should I know before my first Disney cruise?

The biggest thing to know is that this is a Disney experience completely different from the parks. There is some “pre-work” to be done, but overall, it’s a much more go-with-the-flow experience once you’re on board. Things like specialty dining, spa appointments, and shore excursions open up anywhere from 130 to 75 days before your sail date, and they fill up fast.
